ONE THINGS'S FOR SURE, HE LET ME TAKE THE CONTROLS DURING A GREATER PART OF OUR FLIGHT TO OTTAWA. IMMEDIATELY HE FOUND ME QUITE COMFORTABLE AT THE CONTROLS AND WAS PROACTIVELY FOLLOWING OUR HIGHWAY TO OTTAWA IN VIEW BELOW. AS OTTAWA BEGAN TO APPEAR IN THE DISTANCE, WE CONTINUED TO FOLLOW THE HIGHWAY , UNTIL WE FINALLY GOT TO THE OTTAWA RIVER AND FOLLOWED IT FOR ANOTHER 10 MINS. FINALLY, WE SPOTTED THE ROCKLIFFE AIRPORT, AND FOUND THE RUNWAY IN USE. FINALLY HE CALLED THE TOWER FOR LANDING AUTHORIZATION, RECEIVED CLEARANCE, AND BEGAN SLOWING DOWN THE SPEED FIRST, AS SOON AS THE PLANE WAS DESCENDING, I WAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPROACH SUGGESTING WE PULL TO SLOW DOWN MORE, TO GET A GOOD DROPPING RATE, FINALLY HE ADDS FLAPS DURING THE DECSCENT AND RIGHT ON THE CORRECT ANGLE, WE TURN 90 TO FINAL APPROACH, WHERE NOW WE BEGIN TO MAINITAING GLIDE SPEED, AND WHILE STRAIGTENING THE NOSE OF PLANE WITH THE LONG RUNWAY GETTING NEARER, I WAS STILL MAINTAINING PROACTIVE CONTROL OF THE SHORT FINAL WHERE THE RUNWAY FLIES QUICKLY BELOW US. CONSIDERING THIS WAS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT DOING THE FULL FLIGHT AS PROACTIVELY AS EVER, MY FRIEND PILOT FINALLY LET ME DO THE TOUCHDOWN, SINCE HE FOUND I WAS ABOUT TO LAND FOR MY FIRST TIME EVER, AND THE MOST DIFFICULT IS THE SMOOTH LANDING, AND ME REMEMBERING DIRECTLY HOW TO LAND SMALLER RC PLANES, ENDED UP GIVING A NICE SMOOTH NOSE UP PRIOR TO A SURPRISINGLY LONG AND PERFECT GLIDE IN BEFORE THE WHEELS BARELY MADE NOISE, UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE PLANE KEPT ROLLING SMOOTHLY DOWN THE RUNWAY, UNTIL WE SMOOTHLY SLOWED DOWN TO PREPARE FOR OUR TAXIWAY, OUT JUST AHEAD, WE DIDN'T NEED TO BRAKE, JUST MADE A SMOOTH TURN TO GUIDE THE PLANE ONTO THE TAXIWAYS YELLOW LINE. AS SMOOTHLY AS OUR TAXIING WENT, FINALLY FOUND OUR PARKING SPOT AND SMOOTHLT MANOEUVERED OUR PLANE IN PLACE. ONCE DONE, WE NOW COULD TURN OFF THE ENGINE, SHUTOFF THE POWER. AS THE KEY IS TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND PROPELLER BEGIN TO STOP, UNTIL IT BOUNCED TO A STOP. CONTINUED TO DO THE FINAL CHECKLIST FOR PREPARING TO LEAVE THE PLANE. AFTER WE WALKED AWAY FROM THE CESSNA, AND MY PILOT FRIEND FINALLY TOLD ME THAT MY FLYING WAS FLAWLESS, PROACTIVE FROM BEGINNING TO END, ONCE I REALIZED THAT YOU HAD A SPECIAL TOUCH WITH PLANES, AND THIS QUALITY FLIGHT HAS PROVEN TO YOURSELF AND ME THAT YOU ARE A TALENTED FLYER WITH OUTSTANDING POTENTIAL, BECAUSE EVEN PASSIONATE DRIVERS, DONT MANANGE THIS WELL IN MASTERING MANEUVERING THE AIRPLANE. WHAT EVER HOBBY IN FLYING REMOTE CONTROLLED PLANES, ALL THIS TIME HAS PAID OFF WITH YOUR FUTURE IN FLYING THE REAL ONE TODAY. UPON RETURNING, I VOLUNTEERED TO FLY US BACK , AND I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY HIS STARTLING REVELATION THAT MADE UNDERSTAND THAT DAY, THAT I WAS ON MY WAY TO STARTING TO LEARN FLYING THRU THE FLIGHT SCHOOL, AT BELOEIL. AND THE THEORY CLASS WAS BEING GIVEN BY THE MASTER INSTRUCTOR AT BELOEIL AERO-CLUB. WITH LITTLE SURPRISE FOUND MYSELF DOING REALLY WELL LEARNING ABOUT THE PHYSICAL PLANES, ALL THEIR SYSTEMS, THE FLIGHT REGULATIONS, METEOROLOGY, AND THE INS AND OUTS OF FLIGHT MANOEUVERS WHICH I APPEARED TO ALSO LEARN QUICKLY, SO THE THEORY CLASS WAS PROGRESSING WELL, AND THE NEXT STEP FOR THE CLASS WAS TO DO THE FIRST FAMILIARISATION FLIGHT DESTINED TO BE DONE IN THE REAL PLANE. SO THE DAY FOR THE FIRST FLIGHT WITH THE SAME INSTRUCTOR CAME AND IT WAS GOING TO BE A TURNING POINT FOR MY FLIGHT TRAINING AS THE SAME ASSERTIVENESS WAS GOING TO PAY OFF TODAY IN WITH THE MASTER INSTRUCTOR, WHO ALSO TOOK NOTICE OF MY FLIGHT CAPABILITIES, AS WE SPED TOP QUALITY FIRST MANEUVERS, TURNS, LIGHT MEDIUM STEEP , I WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN HEIGHT, SO WELL, WE RETRUNED ACCURATELY INTO OUR OWN WAKE TURBULENCE AFTER COMPLETING EACH CIRCLE.
